AC Managers’ Conference & Trade Show Brings Teams Together to Learn, Grow, and Give Back

Alaska Commercial Company recently welcomed store managers from across the state to Anchorage for the 2026 AC Managers’ Conference & Trade Show. This annual event brings together managers from stores of all sizes and experience levels to share ideas and focus on ways to better serve the communities they support every day.

This year’s conference focused on getting back to the basics. Sessions were designed to strengthen core operations, improve efficiency, and reinforce the fundamentals that keep stores running smoothly in some of Alaska’s most remote communities. Through open conversations and hands-on training, managers identified key takeaways and action items to bring back to their teams. At times, the training even turned into a friendly competition, with managers on their hands and knees stocking product in timed challenges.

A major focus was on new tools and processes that will help streamline ordering and improve overall efficiency. These updates are intended to support faster, more accurate replenishment and help ensure communities continue to have reliable access to the products they need.

The Trade Show portion of the event gave managers the opportunity to explore new and innovative products that will be arriving in AC stores across the state soon. Following the event, hundreds of pounds of food and essential household items were donated to Alaska Catholic Social Services, continuing AC’s commitment to giving back. AC recognizes the need for local support in Anchorage, as many families are still displaced following Typhoon Halong in October.

The conference also included an Awards Banquet, recognizing the hard work and dedication of store managers who play a critical role in their communities. Many managers work long hours throughout the year, often six to seven days a week, to ensure shelves are stocked and customers are taken care of.

The AC Managers’ Conference continues to be an important investment in both our employees and the communities we serve. By bringing managers together to learn and grow, Alaska Commercial Company is strengthening its ability to serve rural Alaska today and in the future.
