St. Mary's Store & Community
St. Mary’s, located at the confluence of the Andreafsky and Yukon Rivers, is a Yup’ik village known for its subsistence lifestyle. Residents fish for salmon, hunt moose, and gather berries to support their way of life. The village also serves as a hub for nearby communities, with its school and airstrip providing essential services. Cultural events in St. Mary’s bring people together to celebrate Yup’ik traditions. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty, offering opportunities for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing.
