Craig, founded in 1907, is the largest town on Prince of Wales Island and is just 5 miles south of Klawock. The town and its surroundings have archaeological and historical sites that connect to the stories passed down by the Elders of Craig, Klawock, and Hydaburg. The town's economy mainly relies on tourism and commercial fishing. It's also a well-known spot for hunting black bear and deer, and the Sunnahae Mountain Trail is a popular hiking destination. You can get to Craig by ferry, cruise ship, or charter plane.
