Alaska Commercial Company shares the environmental concerns of society and has taken the initiative to "go green" wherever possible to ensure we are protecting the environment for future generations. This includes energy conservation opportunities in all store renovations and construction projects.

In our Alaska Commercial Company stores we provide a reusable shopping bag for resale to cut back on the use of plastic bags in our markets. We also use plastic bags that are recyclable and 100% degradable; the plastic in the bag will convert to water, carbon dioxide and biomass the presence of soil, heat, moisture and oxygen. We are continually looking for cost effective and innovative ways to protect the environment.
