AC Launches New Learning Platform for Store Employees

Alaska Commercial Company (AC) is excited to announce the launch of Compass, a new learning platform designed to enhance the training and development for store employees. Set to launch in early August, Compass aims to provide daily learning experiences to support our team members in just five minutes a day.

Why Compass?

Compass is an innovative learning tool to support employee growth through short bursts of daily learning. This approach ensures our employees can easily integrate training into their daily routines without disrupting their workflow. Alaska Commercial Company believes it’s important to invest in our employees while promoting career development to enhance their futures.

Employees will be encouraged to complete their daily training at the start of their shift but can do so at any point during their workday. They will be reminded on a daily basis to “Check their Compass” to promote the adoption and engagement of the platform.

What Will Employees Learn?

At launch, Compass will focus on six key topics:

  1. Acknowledging and Engaging Customers
  2. Preparing Shelves for Stocking
  3. Core Principles
  4. Preventing Loss During a Transaction
  5. Safe Lifting
  6. Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Defined

As development progresses, additional content, training topics, and modules will be introduced to continuously enhance the skills and knowledge of AC employees.
