Mountain Village Store & Community

Mountain Village is a predominantly Yup’ik community situated along the Yukon River. Residents rely on a subsistence lifestyle, with fishing, hunting, and gathering providing essential resources such as salmon, moose, and waterfowl. The community hosts cultural events that celebrate Yup’ik traditions and foster connections among residents. Though remote, Mountain Village remains connected to the region through transportation by boat and plane. The surrounding area offers opportunities for outdoor recreation and a glimpse into traditional Yup’ik lifestyles.
